- Now it's my turn :
-
- I like the idea of using DD PC formatted disks. The disk space is limited,
- but everyone can read em. It might cost a few extra dollars to buy, bundle,
- and ship 2 disks instead of 1 (or 4 instead of 2, etc...), but screwing even a
- few of your readers is never a good idea. I'd say eat the extra few pennies
- and go with something everyone can read.
-
- I also like the idea Fredie has (quoted above). As a 11 year PC user, I can
- pretty much say that 8.3 REALLY SUCKS!! Sorry. Ahem... I've used the Amiga,
- the Mac, *nix, and pretty much any other modern platform and I really hate the
- fact that I have to convert my nice descriptive filenames to 8.3 so I can use
- them at home. If you included a simple script (as Fredie stated above) to
- copy all the files to the Amiga and rename them (when possible), you could
- keep everyone relatively happy.
-

-
- One question for you, John... Have you ("you" meaning the perverbial "you" of
- LWPro) considered shoveling all the old disks onto a CD of sorts? Prolly not
- worth the trouble...
